ADVANCED AC SERVO DRIVE AND MOTOR

The Tritex II AC rotary actuator sets a new benchmark for high performance and small size. These rotary actuators fully integrate an AC powered servo drive, digital position controller, and brushless motor in a compact, sealed package. By combining the latest electronic power technology with advanced thermal management modeling, these rotary actuators are programmable, powerful and precise. They offer a superior solution for applications that can benefit from a compact and fully integrated device.

Programmable Power and Performance

Tritex II rotary motors and gear motors consistently deliver high response and precise control. Using your PC, you can quickly and easily program the actuator to follow an analog signal (either voltage or current), representing your preferred torque, velocity or position. Gear ratios from 4:1 to 100:1 provide ample power to meet a wide range of applications that demand high turndown and accuracy. Finally you can easily replace existing electric, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, without compromising on power and performance.

Small Footprint and Reduced Operating Costs

Exlar rotary actuators not only outperform competing technologies, they are among the most power-dense servo devices on the market. The servo drive and digital positioner are housed in a single, sealed package, thereby reducing space requirements and extending operating life. Also the integral design reduces installation costs and control cabinet space requirements, while eliminating expensive, high maintenance servo cables and long distance signal issues.

Other Advantages

  • Maximum power, performance and reliability in a compact package
  • Engineered for closed loop servo systems
  • IP66S rated for use in harsh environment
  • Optimum reliability over a wide range of ambient temperatures
  • Dependable 1.5 kW servo amplifier and motion controller
  • Standard features include analog following and force/torque control
  • Precise coordination with system controls or machine operator
  • 100% duty cycle
  • Analog, incremental or absolute feedback alternatives

Output Torque at Motor Speed for 10,000 Hour Life. Two torque ratings for the R2G gearmotors are given in the table above. The left hand columns give the maximum (peak) allowable output torque for the indicated ratios of each size R2G gearmotor. This is not the rated output torque of the motor multiplied by the ratio of the reducer. It is possible to select a configuration of the motor selection and gear ratio such that the rated motor torque, multiplied by the gear ratio exceeds these ratings. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the settings of the system do not allow these values to be exceeded. The right hand columns give the output torque at the indicated speed which will result in 10,000 hour life (L10). The setup of the system will determine the actual output torque and speed.

How can we help?

Can the Tritex II linear actuators replace hydraulic cylinders?Arrow
Tritex actuators have similar capabilities as a comparably sized hydraulic cylinders but without the cost or maintenance issues. High force, fast speeds, and precise movements make it a superior substitute for hydraulic applications
Does the AC Linear Actuator make an ideal hydraulic replacement?Arrow
Tritex actuators have the same capabilities as a hydraulic equivalent but without the cost or maintenance issues. High force, fast speeds, and precise movements make it a superior substitute for hydraulic applications.
Is the Tritex Series an Industry 4.0 IoT actuator?Arrow
The Tritex II Series actuators are intelligent actuators incorporating on-board control and communications capabilities, enabling support for distributed control and IIoT architectures
  • Production Efficiencies (speed, up-time, duty cycle)
  • Environmental Sustainability (energy efficiency, reduction in hazardous materials)
  • Agile & Adaptable Processes (configurability, connectivity)
  • Fully Autonomous Operation (distributed control, predictive maintenance)
What are the primary benefits of using an electric actuator system over hydraulics?Arrow
Electric actuators offer high speed and force, are flexible and easily programmable for a variety of load conditions, have high accuracy and repeatability, are efficient, simple to install, require little maintenance, and are environmentally friendly.

By not using a hydraulic system, the user can eliminate oil leaks, reduce pollution, and improve worker safety. Electric actuators are also a non-toxic solution, especially in the food industry
